Breathe my Soul, Breathe - 10.8cm Porcelain Plate

The gentle rhythm of breathing is explored through the interplay of gradients, layering, and a sense of lightness. Soft transitions in colour and subtle overlays come together to form a fluid, almost meditative pattern, one that mimics the natural rise and fall of each breath.

The resulting visual creates a quiet, calming rhythm that serves as a visual cue for the viewer to pause and reconnect with their breath. 

This is not just a graphic element,it’s a reminder to slow down, take a moment, and find presence in the everyday. Through this, we hope to translate the invisible act of breathing into a tangible, contemplative visual experience.

A collaboration with Lee Jun Le, whose daily practice of writing meaningful words evolved into the creation of a unique and expressive typeface, known as JunLe Font, a quiet language of the mind and soul.

Porcelain is a medium where colour variation is a natural occurring feature of reactive, speckled, matte and cobalt-blue glazed finishing. Irregularities in glaze and texture should be celebrated as a mark of the artist's hand. Therefore, each piece is unique and has a handcrafted element to it.
